Question

Hyperlink in wrong spot on slide

I am working in Captivate 9. I highlight text which I want to make into a hyperlink, have it open a URL (which works just fine other times it is referenced throughout the presentation & save it. However, when I preview or publish, when I click on the text that should be hyperlinked, nothing happens. However, if I drift around on the page with my cursor, the little "hand" icon pops up, indicating there is an underlying link. Sure enough, when I click in that spot, the hyperlink opens to the correct URL. Why is this happening on a random part of the page instead of on the text that is set up as the hyperlink? I have tried several options...using a blank template & creating a text box, using a title slide & enlarging the text area, rebuilding the slides from scratch in a new responsive project (does same thing in new project as it does in my other completed presentation).

It looks like you are talking about a responsive project, which is set up with Breakpoint views (since you are on 9).  Are you on the latest version of Captivate 9 which is 9.0.2.437. Is your problem appearing on certain screen resolutions or on all? Did you start from the primary view when setting up the projectr?

Other slides are working fine. It is only a few select slides that aren't. I did start from the primary view. This is my first project so I'm not really familiar with the ins and outs of break points.

Ate you using 9.0.2.437? Can you answer my other questions as well?
