Hyperlinks not working when publishing HTML5 and viewing in Chrome

We are trying to publish a course as HTML5 to be viewed using Chrome that includes a hyperlink that will open a web page in a new window. When testing the hyperlink in the published HTML5 output in Chrome, we are getting a 404 error. The only way the hyperlink will open correctly in Chrome is when it is published as SWF. However, the hyperlink will open with the HTML5 output using IE.

The reason we want to use HTML5 in Chrome is for our end users to view all courses in the same browser but not have to remember all the different things they need to do to turn off company enabled pop-up blockers or have one-offs that they need to view in IE instead.

Is there a reason hyperlinks to web pages do not work in Chrome publishing as HTML5? Is there a way to get around this without publishing as SWF?

Try using the https:// version of the hyperlink instead of the http:// (the s is for secure).

It sounds like the security features in Chrome are blocking the site - Chrome has some security features that IE does not have. Check with your IT folks to see if they can allow your site to be viewed.
