I am getting an unhandled win32 exception occurred on AdobeCaptivate.exe error when pasteing slides.  When the error is acknowledged Captivate closes down. This occurres when I try to import slides from another project or to copy and paste a slide within a project.

Here's what I have tried.

  1. Run a virus scan (no virus's)
  2. I have purchased software PCTools Registry Mechanic and ran it through. (still get error)
  3. Uninstalled Visual Studio 2005  which was what it was opening to debug. ((still get error)
  4. Created a new project and tried to copy within it (still get error)
  5. Jumping up and down (that doesn't work either)

I welcome any help!

I have now uninstalled and re-installed Captivate and still no joy.  Not all the projects have this problem, so It does seem to be a corruption in some projects.  If I create a new one, I can't import slides or objects from a corrupted project, but can cut and paste images and text etc.

I have started the process of re-creating some of the courses, but have some quite large ones, with recorded sections etc in them that would be a lot of work to re-create.  So I would really appreciate any suggestions on how to fix them.
