I am using Captivate 8 and can't seem to get text animation working!

I haven't used Captivate since 3 and Text Animation was so simple.

When I go to Text and try to chose Text Animation it is grayed out.

When I click on my text box and try to add Effect, I have to browse.  When I locate my Text Animation folder it is empty!! HOWEVER the weirdest thing is when I manually navigate through my computer to that folder it is full of all the animation files I would expect.

How can something so simple....appear to be SO DIFFICULT??

Thanks in advance for thoughts on why I can't add text animation.

Text animations are not compatible with HTML output, could that be the problem?

To insert a Text Animation, use the option under the Big Button 'Text'.

    Hi,

Text animations are not compatible with HTML5. If you are using a Responsive project, then Text animations would not be supported.

    Thanks,

    THANK YOU!

I am just starting to dabble in responsive design and that makes TOTAL sense I just didn’t make the connection.

    Thanks for your help.
