Question

I can't hear a mouse click

Hey,

On a slide, after you insert the mouse, isn't there something I should do to hear the mouse click.  I've already got all of the buttons checked under the mouse properties(show mouse click and mouse click sound).  Now, shouldn't I simply hear a click at the end of the mouse object? Is there some kind of global setting I am missing?

What gives?

Thanks.

Jeff

I am having the exact same problem.  Mouse is set to show mouse, and audio set to single click sound (also tried double-click) .  Plus all publishing settings set correctly to show mouse/audio.  When I preview or publish it, the mouse clicking noises are gone from whole project., however when I press play while in edit mode, I can hear the mouse sound.  This is happening on all my projects.  I did change the mouse size and clicked the apply to all option.  I'm wondering if this action somehow triggered a bug in the software.  Really would love to hear if anyone has resolved this issue.

Thanks

Hi there

If you click Edit > Preferences > Project > Publish Settings do you have Include Audio and Include Mouse selected?

Yes, both are selected.  Do you think it has something to do with the way they were recorded?  Can the

mouse object even provide click sounds?  Do you think the click needs to be something that is captured during recording only?

I have another question after this one.   I'll put it on another discussion thread.

Hi there

Mouse click sounds exist as an audio file and are not recorded. While I'm not one of the Captivate Development team, it is my understanding that all that is recorded are the starting and ending points as well as the pointer in use.

Of course Mouse object provides click sounds. The evidence is in the dialog.

A bit of a mystery as to why you may not be hearing them. Any chance of sharing your project so one of us may see first hand?

Cheers... Rick
