Question

I can't make mouse edits in video demos in Captivate 8

I have had no problem making mouse edits in Captivate 7, but now that I'm trying out Captivate 8, I can't select the mouse to change the position.  The coordinates will appear when I hover over the cursor, but my arrow never changes to a hand like the user manual says it will in order to make the edit.  Sometimes I am able to move it with the arrow keys, but even that isn't very consistent.  I'm using a Mac, if that makes any difference.  Anyone else run into this?

Are you talking about a HD Video Demo (cpvc file) or about a normal cptx-project?

The HD video demo.  I don't have any problems making mouse edits in any other parts of projects.

Thanks!

Hi Stace,

Thanks for highlighting this issue, you can report this on "Adobe - Feature Request/Bug Report Form"

The workaround can be that you can use arrow keys to re-position the mouse once it is selected by clicking on mouse symbol on timeline.

We will get back to you in case we have any updates on this front.

Thanks and Regards
