Question

I don't want my animation Looped!

Hi,

I'm importing an animation into my Captivate project, and for some reason it keeps looping, whereas I only want it to play once. According to the manuals online, it should only loop if the loop box is ticked, which it isn't, and common sense would dictate that if I selected "play length of animation" it would play just once, but when I select this the animation doesn't even show on screen!

If anyone can tell me what might be going on I would really appreciate it! This training module has to be delivered tomorrow so I reckon it's going to be a long long night!!!

Cheers!

Ewan

It is possible you will have to address the problem at the "animation level". That is, change the loop properties of the original animation - in the application it was created - before publishing, then importing into Captivate.

Hopefully you have found a solution since this post, but if not, that is the first suggestion that comes to mind. Best of luck to you!

hey Lozjam,

Sorry I should really have posted this when I found out!!!

I found that it was looping because I had published the file as an actionscript 3 file, but once I published it as an actionscript 2 file it worked perfectly.

I don't know too much about actionscript (particularly as I've just started learning it from AS3 and have no prior knowledge of AS2) is anyone with more experience able to confirm that Captivate has a problem working with AS3?

But as I said, I found that if I published the .swf as an actionscript 2 file and not actionscript 3 it worked perfectly.

Cheers
