Question

I'm getting the error message "Some items could not be imported" when trying to add a .png file to the library. Any ideas why?

This is odd, even for a Friday afternoon... I've been working away merrily, taking screenshots from a local piece of software, using snagit to capture and save as .png file. Going to the library within my project and importing the .png file. All has been working lovely, until I went out for lunch 🙂

Firstly an image I had imported was just showing a blank frame when I dragged it onto a page. I deleted it from the library, thinking to re-import it,  but I get the above error message when I try and import the same file.

I've tried creating a new .png and importing that, and it doesn't work. Basically I can't import any .png files... help please!

TIA

Lauren

Which version do you use and on which OS?

Is there any reason why you don't use the software simulation feature of Captivate, but Snagit?

Did you restart Captivate already? Can you check the size of the cache folder? I hope you have activated backup? It looks like either the file or Captivate has become corrupted.

    Version 9, and Win 7.

Um... I switched my laptop off an on again, and it now works. Sorry, should have tried that first! Maybe something awry with the cache and that cleared it? We'll never know :-)

Thank you for taking the time to respond.

I'm using snagit out of habit I suppose. Always open to better ways of doing things...
