I'm having an issue with layering - Master Slide v Filmstrip

I'm having an issue with objects being rearranged on the filmstrip view of a master slide.  Below is an example. The top picture is what my master slide looks like and the bottom is my filmstrip version of the same slide.  I've tried in both Captivate 9 and 10 and have the same issue.  Anyone have any suggestions? We've tried grouping items together and it works for a short while and then goes back to having issues.

The arrows point to the gray box and the title placement holder.

Any assistance you can provide is much appreciated!

Thank you!

Jen

A couple of things come to mind on this one. If you have any objects that are displayed for rest of project you may wish to consider the checkbox on the timing panel "Place Object on Top" depending on what the desired effect is.

You may also check your slide properties as well. There is a similar checkbox that will place master slide objects on top. Might be useful in some circumstances but could be interfering with your layout.

sorry that would be helpful if i mentioned that!   ours is a breakpoint responsive project.

Indeed that is required information. What about the theme? Both master slides and slides have to be fully responsive. I suspect the problem should be looked for in the setup of the Position properties. The OP never answered my question about that.

Hey IDJen, just bumping this. We are having the same issue. My guess is that this is a bug. We are trying to come up with a standard set of steps to create a bug report.  The problem is every time we try to recreate the error different layers (from the same template) end up in the back of the layer order.  I thought this just had to do with placeholder text but it seems random now we've tried it a few times.

If you are able to recreate this consistently, I might suggest reporting the bug along with the steps to recreate in the bug report forum if you have not already done so: Feature Request/Bug Report Form

The April 2018 Update 1 did not do anything to fix this....

Our work around so far is to have a dummy project as a template as well as the master slides.

Is this a non-responsive or a responsive project? If it is a responsive project, developed with fluid boxes, which theme was used?
