Question

I need a single .swf output file, but have embedded flv movies

Hi all!

I am certain someone has the answer to this, but I cannot find it...

I need a single, comprehensive and self-contained output file for everything in my Captivate project, but have .flv movies as a part of the project.  How do I publish so that the .flv is incorporated into the swf output file?

Much appreciation and virtual chocolate chip cookies lie in wait as your reward...

Thanks!

I'm not sure that you are able to "embed" the FLV's into a Captivate project to be honest. However, a work-around would be to convert your FLV's to SWF's and then import those into Captivate. That would make it possible to restrict the output to only one SWF. However, the size of your videos would most likely increase when they are converted to SWF. You need Flash or Adobe Media Encoder to convert your FLV's to SWF.

I'm not sure what version of Captivae you are using, but if you have 4, you can publish as a .pdf and it will be a single file.  At least, that was my experience.
