If Captivate 9 is installed, Captivate 2017 cant be installed? - Enterprise license

Is there a solution for Enterprise users to be able to install Captivate 2017 if you have Captivate 9 installed?

Is there a solution to update Adobe Applications when the Creative Cloud desktop application is not allowed?

Where I work doesn't allow the Creative Cloud desktop installer or any other file sharing software (pretty common). In order to update Adobe applications requires a uninstall and fresh install of latest version per application. From talking to other people that are subject to similar restrictions of no file sharing software allowed, a uninstall and fresh install of latest version per application is apparently not a uncommon thing.

With the Enterprise installer Captivate 2017 apparently can not be installed if Captivate 9 is installed. I have been able to install Captivate 2017 on my home laptop and desktop with zero issue having Captivate 9 installed at the same time apparently this is only a issue for a Enterprise install.

Hi,

In order to upgrade to Captivate 2017 release, Creative Cloud App is not needed and Enterprise Users should be able to install Captivate 2017 even in case Captivate 9 is already installed.

Would you be able to confirm what error do you see while deploying Captivate 2017 using Enterprise Deployment methods when Captivate 9 is already installed?
Please also provide some details about how you are trying to deploy - target OS, machine config and CCP settings.

Regards,
Sharad

Sharad,

Thank you for the reply. I will check with the IT guy and ask all these questions. I am going by second hand information.

Thank you again.
