Suddenly images are appearing in the background of my slides in Captivate 2 and I can't get them out. I didn't put them there.

Thanks to all who responded to this request. In the end, this was a rookie mistake. I had inserted an image, and instead of selecting "rest of slide" under the image options tab, I selected "rest of project." I looked for this when I was troubleshooting, but missed it. It's a easy mistake to make so if anyone has suggestions for avoinding it, please share. Thanks again, Dev_Ian

No problem. Worth a shot ... lol.

Glad it is fixed with a workaround. :D

    Hi all

Dev_Ian, it sounds as if your issue has now been resolved. However, on the outside chance it hasn't, I'm wondering if the following Technical Note might help.

You may have (on accident) merged something into the background.

Try right clicking on the background (slide) and selecting properties..
Then select change background image. This brings up a thumbnail of the current background image. If the extra image you saw on your slides is still there, then you may have to export the background image and remove the extra image. (or get a new screen shot of your current background image sans the extra image.)

Unfortunetly, this was not the case. Here is what I did to work around it. I took a screen shot of the image in slide show view. Then I inserted the image into my slide, and that covered the weird image up. Fortunetly this was the last slide so it was fairly uncomplicated.

    Thanks for trying.

Are they located on the timeline as a selectable object ?

No. I don't see it in the slide sorter on the left (under Edit tab), but when I view the slide, I can see it. I also noticed that it has appeared in other slides, always in the same location. I tried to go through all the slides to see if I selected "rest of project" for the display setting. I had not. I also did not place that image in the place where it is showing up elsewhere. I published the project and it shows up.
