Question

image still fading (despite using paused button and transitions)

I have a really simple slide composed of an image, some text captions, and some rollover captions. It is going to be displayed as a menu, of sorts.

I put a transparent button on the stage to pause the slide so the user can make their choice. More information about each item is shown to the right on rollover. I have selected "Fade in only" for every item on the stage. All slide items are set to show for 6 seconds, but the button is paused at 3 seconds. However, the slide is not pausing at 3 seconds. It's continuing to play and the image is fading out.

I also want to place an empty slidelet on each part that opens a URL when clicked. I haven't done this yet.

Here is a screencast of the settings and behavior of this slide.

    Hello,

    Some suggestions:

    1. The button is set to invisible in the Properties panel, that is the same as not being there. Check the visibility again and try out. BTW: instead of having to format  a button to be transparent (you have to delete the text in it then), you can also use a click box that is always invisible to the user. For a click box you cannot time the pausing point, it is always at the end of its timeline, but you control it by setting the length, duration of that timeline.
    2. Since this is only one slide in the project: did you uncheck the Fade in/Fade out for the project in Preferences, Project, Start and End?

Publish the project completely (not using the From this Slide option) and see if the slide pauses.
