Import Project Captions and Closed Captions Grayed Out on Software Simulation

I created a software simulation in Captivate 7 and I'm trying to import translated captions from a Word file but Captivate 8 is giving me a grayed out option so I can't do it. Does anyone know what could be occurring here?

Hi,

Has this been resolved? I am encountering the same problem today. I am using Adobe Captivate 7 in a mac laptop. I have two file versions. The v1 has the project captions option is greyed out. And the v2 doesn't have a greed out option but once I click import, it crashes. What do you think might be the problem?

Just a guess here, but did you first export them? It's been a long while since I actually tested this, but in earlier versions Captivate only understood and would allow importing files that had first been exported from the same project.

Yes, they were exported from the same Captivate files that they are being imported back into.

Did you make any changes whatsoever to the Captivate project file AFTER you exported the Word doc from it? If so, those changes might be fouling things up.
