Import questions from CSV format files - Error Message

I followed the directions from this Adobe post, created a CSV file for my multiple choice quiz with options A, B, C, and D. I was able to import most the questions in my CSV file. However, all multiple choice questions that have D as the correct answer fail to import with the error message: "Number of correct answers must be at least one." See report below. The final answer D is correctly asterisked so I don't see what the issue is. Has anyone else encountered this issue? How did you resolve it?

    I know that you are not using the new version 12 (it doesn't allow CSV import) but one of the older versions. Is it possible to mention the full version number, which you can find under Help, About Captivate?

    Did you create the CSV file from scratch, or did you use the Excel macro which you find under Gallery/Quiz?  If you didn't use that macro, please try it at least for a MCQ as you created. There is also an example CSV file.

     

    Personally I never liked the CSV import because I had issues to use it for multiple languages, was not able to save the CSV file after editing. Although it is an older method, importing GIFT files is more to be trusted but that is my personal opinion of course. I need to be able to localise a lot, and that is easier with GIFT.

    Hi Lilybiri! Thanks for your thorough response! I am using Captivate 11.8.1.219.

     

    I created the CSV from scratch, based off of an existing Excel file that my employer gave me. I will try looking through the macro and sample file.

    I mentioned this because in the past, when the import of CSV was released first I have been testing it out for localisation purposes. It didn't work, after editing a CSV file (translating) which I created with that macro, it didn't import into Captivate. That is the reason I got back to GIFT import. There are apps around which allow to convert to GIFT from Excel, just Google. Here is the link to the blog I wrote at that moment:
