Import quiz questions from text file

Hi all, I don't know that there is a good solution for this, but maybe someone has a good idea.

I have done a lot in Captivate, but I usually create only a few quiz questions, so it's never been a a problem.

However, now I need to import more than 100 quiz questions.  They were originally created in a program called ClassMarker, and the only way I found to export them is to a plain text file, which I have done.

So I can copy from the text file and build the quiz in Captivate.

Anyone have a better idea?

Thanks.

    Hi there

You could modify the text file to convert the questions to GIFT format, then import the massaged file into Captivate.

For such an amount of question slides I would use the Import GIFT feature, which is available since several versions. GIFT is a pure text file, developed by Moodle. There are several ways to create them, also from CSV-files. You can google about it. When you import such a fle, all question slides are created at once, a lot easier than having to copy/paste from a text file on each slide and in each placeholder.

Thanks to both of you.  I am familiar with importing GIFT, but not converting the plain text file to GIFT format.

That sounds like the way to go.

    Thanks!
