Question

Imported audio will not distribute over multiple slides

I am using Captive 5 on Window 7.

I was previously able to import audio and choose to have the audio distributed over multiple slides. I got the "Audio Import Options" dialog box. I chose the second option, Distribute the audio file over several slides. Once the import was done I would have access to the tool that allowed me to control how the audio was distributed over the slides.

This is no longer happening. I get the "Audio Import Options" dialog, I choose option two, but nothing happens. Usually I find that Captivate is locked up, on those occassions that it is not then all of the audio is dumped on the slide that I chose but I never get the tool to distribute it. If I go into edit the audio the option that used to be there that enabled me to insert slides in the audio is no longer there.

This all used to work and I'm not sure what has changed. I've tried doing this with various Captivate projects and numerous audio files, I've started Captivate as an admin, nothing works.

I would appreciate any ideas.

Thanks.

Try these steps:

1. Close Captivate.

2. Goto : C:\Users\<YOUR USER NAME>\AppData\Local\Adobe

3. Delete the 'Captivate 5' folder.

4. Now launch Captivate in Administrator mode.

Try you scenario and do let us know whether this resolved your issue.
