It seems that everytime I import an image from from a word document it seems to lose some of it's quality or resolution when It is pasted on a slide. Is there a way to paste word graphics into Captivate with losing definition? I tried importing them into paint first but It doesn't seem to work any better. I am using Captivate 4 but I have had the problem with Captivte 3 also.

Could you explain why you are pasting graphics from Word? Word never has been very well great in handling graphics. What was the format of the graphics? How did you get them out of Word and into CP? Copying and pasting using the Windows Clipboard is certainly not a good idea if you want some quality about this graphics.

I'm sorry about all these questions, but want really to help you and try to explain that Word is great for handling text, but for quality in graphics it is really not a good choice....

    Paint is, IMHO even worse....

Thank you for the questions. They will help me as well. I am trying to building a training course for our user interface and in doing so I am using some of the pictures and tables from a document (the equipment manual) to save time. The images look just fine in the word document but lose definition when I import or paste them. I Copy and paste them into paint, save them as "JPEG" files, and then select "Image" from the insert menu in CP to paste into the slide. I have tried copying and pasting them directly from Word to CP but that doesn't work any better.

    Thanks listening

    Hi there

If you want the images to look the same in Captivate as they do in Word, you need to use a screen capture application to capture them as you see them in Word. Then you save them in a format (.GIF/.JPG/.PNG/.BMP) and you insert them as images into Captivate.

    Cheers... Rick
