Imported mp4 video plays in preview but not after publishing

Captivate Version- 2019 release - 11.8.0586

 

I have a MP4 video as introduction to my project. Imported the new video to Captivate first slide.

In Preview, the video plays. But After Publishing as mp4 video, the  inserted video does NOT play. It is showing a loading sign and audio is playing.

 

Captivate Video Properties:

  • Slide video
  • Progressive Download
  • Video file name is without space (ltc.mp4)

 

I am only playing the published file on my local drive.  No LMS involved @ this point.

i want to publish this project only  as a video (mp4).

    Captivate is an eLearning authoring tool, not a video assembler. Are you sure that the framerate and other settings are the same for the videos and the cptx project? It has never been meant to realize an output to passive video, especially when you have also inserted mp4 videos in the project. You are not the first to mention this issue, and I mentioned what could be the possible cause.

    As for Preview: this is probably a non-responsive project. The only valid Preview in that case is F11,, Preview HTML in Browser. However it will not show a real Preview for MP4 output. Please use a video editor for what you want to do instead of an eLearning authoring tool where interactivity is the primary goal. Captivate has lot of possibilities to create interactive courses.
