Importing

I'd like to import a Powerpoint slideshow but there are no file types listed under "The following project types can be imported:" on the "Import Project" dialog. If I browse to a PPT file, nothing happens. If I create a blank movie and select Insert Powerpoint Slides then it just shows a blank single slide (even though the PPT file has lots of files).
I have Powerpoint 2003 installed.
Any ideas anyone?
