Importing video into Captivate 2017

How do I import hi-res video into Captivate and still keep the definition? My original mp4 video is 1920x1080 and designed for a laptop or desktop, yet still looks awesome on a 65" 4k screen. When I import it into Captivate 2017, regardless of how I try to do it, the resolution is visibly awful. Graphics are shoddy, lines are fuzzy, text is barely readable. I've used the Encoder to change format from mp4 to f4v, I've reduced the project resolution from 1920x1080 to 1600x900, and again to 1366x768, and it still looks awful. I've never seen video get worse when scaling down before, how can I improve the resolution?
