Question

In Adobe Captivate, Speech-to-Text is not updating when I update captions after clicking the "Update Audio" button. Any ideas on how to fix?

I’ve restarted the program, restarted my computer, updated the program to version 13.1, with no success.  The “Updating Audio” box appears, but the progress bar never moves, and eventually the box disappears.  When testing/previewing the project, the new captions appear but the text-to-speech is the old audio/wording.

    Try updating to 13.1.1.200

Note: I had to download the demo since the “Check for Updates” menu would not update.

I did not have to uninstall version 13.1 as it either updated it or replaced it, however, if it still doesn’t work, uninstall completely and reinstall.

I’ve also run the CleanPreferencesWin.bat, cleared the cache, copied the file and tried in a new version (file not corrupt), and ensured the file was stored locally and not on the cloud.  I also tried creating a new, blank project, but the audio will still not generate/update based on captions.  I’ve also tried a different “voice”, still nothing.  It worked fine about 2 days ago.
