Indent isn't working (right click shortcut menu)

Question 1: The indent feature is not indenting text. Or does this "indent" feature control something else.

Question 2: Is there a page with menus and descriptions of the features they control?

I placed a callout in the video and I successfully indented that. But NOT using the line item in the menu I have pictured.

I don't know what the "indent" in the graphic is for. I thought THAT was for the text in my call out or shape.
