index.html / linking and questionslide questions

Hi,


I'm creating one e-learning build with different e-learnings. My e-learning has 8 different chapters. For every chapter i create a new e-learning so the filesize won't get to big. I wan't to connect the e-learnings together by the option "Open another project". When i publish my Captivate file i see a folder with index.html and captivatefilename.htm in it. The difference between those in quality is quite much. The captivatefilename.htm is retina friendly and looks a lot better but the captivatefilename.htm can't connect to anoter captivatefilename.htm.

Also I build in some questions in different chapters, these has to be made by the course members.

I have a couple of questions about the situation i sketched above:

1. Is it possible to connect this file with a LMS program or does it always connect tot the index.html?

2. Can i link a captivatefilename.htm to a other captivatefilename.htm?

3. Is it possible to show a pop up to the course members when he doesn't has fill in all the questions yet?
    (In the e-learning it is possible to jump from one slide to another so it is possible course members doesn't see some questions)


Difference between index.html and captivatefilename.htm:

Maybe you guys know the answer to my questions or how to work around it.

    Since you mention captivatefilename.htm I can assume you are publishing to HTM/SWF output and not HTML5?

    It seems you may be thinking that the HTM file is the one that actually contains the content.  It does not.  The HTM file only calls in the SWF (Flash) file where the content is really located for that type of output.

    In Captivate you can set the Project End preference of one project to call the HTM file of another published project.  But for this to work you really need to be delivering your content from a web server, not a LAN server.

    Regarding your question about using an LMS...This would require that you are publishing your course modules as SCORMs.  One SCORM is not allowed to directly call another SCORM.  Two or more SCORMs can be bundled together to form a multi-SCO course using the Multi-SCORM Packager tool that comes with Adobe Captivate.  In this case the SCORMs do not call each other, but rather the navigation to each module is controlled by the LMS SCORM Player interface.

    Regarding your question about forcing the user to answer all questions...Yes you can force this via the Quiz > Settings > Required option in Captivate.
