Software: CP8

Has anyone successfully created an individual slide playhead so moving it will just navigate the slide itself rather than the entire project?

I have to agree that it is much more useful to have a scrub bar for an individual slide or range of slides vs. the entire course.  It is certainly possible to do, although not necessarily easy to accomplish.  I was going to do that for a project I'm working on, but the client decided they did not need to have it, at least for that project, but that would actually be easier to accomplish than some of the other things I've had to do.

I answered a question today where I addressed the possibility of modifying the playbar to accomplish different things, and talked to this a bit.  I wish that more people were addressing these kinds of changes, however if they are, I've not seen much of anything mentioned about it.  The closest information I've seen is for how to make basic changes (e.g. graphics) to playbars and other interface graphics, and giving an idea as to one way to re-arrange buttons in the Flash playbar (that doesn't work for HTML5).

Manual positioning of playbar buttons in HTML5

Playbar override code is more complicated by the fact that if you are publishing for both desktop/Flash and HTML5, you have to create both a Flash and HTML5 version of the necessary code changes.  You need someone to do this that is an expert in AS3 and/or HTML5/JavaScript and capable of determining/understanding the underlying structures, not all of which are overtly documented by Adobe.
