Question

Inserted Flash animation loses timing when published

Hi all. Help!

We created a flash animation and inserted it at the beginning of a captivate presentation. The flash file is timed perfectly with the first (roughly) one minute of audio in the captivate file.

Now, when we play this in captivate, all looks hunky-dory. However, when we publish the whole presentation from captivate as a flash file, and double-click the html file to play it, the original flash animation is no longer synched properly with the audio.

Since later slides (ones without imbedded flash animations) in the presentation are synching fine, it seems the original flash animation is playing too slowly - but only after being published from captivate!

Our Frames Per Second rate for publishing in captivate is set at 30, same as the original flash animation.

Any ideas?

Thanks.
Chris

Perhaps there is a solution by looking at the project fps and the fps setting used to make the flash animation?

I have just bought Captivate 2 on the basis of being able to play animations in presentations.
So far, I'm pretty disappointed as animating SWF files and even FLV files does not work as expected.

Did you get a resolution to your problem?

    Hi, TriSys G.
See my answer to your previous post on another thread here.

BTW, what exactly were your FLV problems?
    Thanx,
