Inserting a custom image button on master slides in captivate 2017

Hello,

I would like to insert image buttons on my master slide but I cannot do it. The buttons button is greyed out. I understand I can insert a smart shape but then I cannot add an image to this smart shape if I make the smart shape into a button? I also tried adding the image to see if I can turn it into a button but I am very limited in the master slide view.

What is the best way to do this so that I don't have to do it on every slide and instead only on the master slides.

Thanks

I am thinking of creating the custom buttons and then adding them to the button gallery in Captivate and that way I can access them through the smart shape insert. Not sure if this would work.

Please, can you clarify? Do you want to replace the default quiz buttons by image buttons? In that case, do it in the Object Style manager: set the default quiz button style to Image button, and indicate your image button, which was created the appropriate way (3 images, named with ending on _up, _over, _down). If you only want to add a custom button to the quiz slides, that is only possible with shape buttons, all other interactive objects are excluded. The default quiz buttons cannot (yet) be shape buttons, you only have the choice between the three old types: Text button, Transparent button (mostly default in included themes) and image buttons.

No this is for regular slides. I would like to add our own image buttons for navigating in slides. Nothing to do with quiz. I would like to add tthose custom image buttons on the master slides.
