How do install a swf file within Captivate.  When I do, I see either nothing or just a brief view then it goes blank?

Yes, the swf is set for 30fps.  What happens is if I preview on my computer - the flash movie works.  It I publish it, the movie just sits and nothing happens.

What did you mean by changing the timeline?

When I insert it in Captivate, I do change the timeline (show to end of frame), what happens, when seen on a Browser - it just sit's there nothing moves.  When I play it on my system I see all movements of the movie.

Why do change the animation timeline, that has no sense. Animation has its duration, did you use Animation as object to insert?

BTW slide is very different from a frame. By default Captivate will play at 30fps, 30 frames per second. What was the frame rate (fps) for the inserted SWF?

I need the swf file to show on a web page.  And yes, I realize it has to be AS3

How did you test? If you test locally, be sure that the location is added to Flash trusted locations.

Do you know the origin of the SWF? Very old SWF's that use AS2 are not supported anymore by Captivate (since version 5).

You insert as an animation. Make sure that is extends for the length of the slide.

Another thing, it all depends on your swf timeline. Perhaps it's stopped on a frame where the content is blank.

I use them all the time without any issues.
