Interactive option freezes

I am using Captivate 7 runing on Windows 8. When I try to insert any of the Interactive options, my PC freezes. I get the message, "Adobe Captivate is not responding." Then the application closes. How do I fix this? I am on a stand along computer - not a network. I tried uploading the updates, but that did not help the problem.

Please try to Run Captivate as a administrator (right click on Captivate icon and then click on run as admin)

Thank you for your welcome and your suggestion. I tried running it as administrator, but it did not help, and it only offered me two Interactions choices instead of the full set of options. I'll try changing a few of my computer's settings and try it again. I'll get back to you with the results later.
