Internet Explorer Issues

I am sure hoping that someone can help. I am using Captivate 3.0 to create voice-over PowerPoint presentations as part of several online courses at my college. We are currently using WebCT but will soon be switching to Blackboard. I submitted my most recently completed course and the Captivate presentations play just fine when using the Mozilla browser but not at all when using Internet Explorer. Ive never had this problem before. I made sure that the active X controls were set properly and that the latest version of Flash player was installed. Can anyone shed some light on this and help me find some solutions?

Thanks,
JanM

Not that I'll have any particular answer, but please detail what "but
not at all when using Internet Explorer" means. You can't get to the web
page? You get a broken plugin icon? The page throws an error?
Can you play the courses via IE from your desktop?

Hi Erik,
What was happening is absolutely nothing. No loading..... just a blank white background when I clicked on the linked file via IE. With a right click on the blank screen, it just said "not loading". When I tried the same thing with Mozilla, I got the loading icon with a continuous count of the percentage of the file that was loading. I tried re-uploading the presentations and that didnt work either.

Actually, I finally fixed the problem. In every other class that I have created, I have had to place a link to the Captivate htm file, within the presentation page. What I ended up doing was linking the swf instead. Now it works on both Mozilla and IE. The funny thing is that I looked back over the other six courses and about 40 presentations Ive created and linked within the courses, all have the htm files linked, and all play just fine on IE and Mozilla. I dont know what happened this time and why the presentations in this course would not work properly.
