iPhone/Android HTML5 video problem

When I publish a project to HTML5 the inserted video(flv) doesn´t work on iPhone but it works on android.

When I convert the video file with an external tool to mp4 and replace it in the zip then it works on iPhone - but it doesn´t work on Android.

Any suggestions?

CP Version 7.0.1.237

iPhone 5 (IOS 7.1.1)

Android 4.3

Has really no one experienced similar problems?

If an FLV video was working on Android then that meant the Android mobile device you were testing on had Flash Player.  iPad never has Flash Player.

As to why your Android is not playing MP4s, check if it has the necessary video codecs:

Thx for your answer but it is a bit more complex as it seems.

I only export the project to html5 and Captivate converts the inserted flv to an mp4.

So in the exported zip there is no flv anymore. Only the converted mp4.

When I upload this zip to my lms it works with Android but not with the iPhone.

When I convert the flv without using Captivate with an other tool into mp4 and relpace the "old" mp4, then it works with the iPhone but not with Android.

So it can´t be a problem of codec or flash player (by the way: Android 4.3 does not support flash at all as the iPhone doesn´t support it)
