Question

Is anyone using green screen videos in their courses ?

I was creating a scenario based training for mobile operators and the results were really good. Using a video capture software from a desktop and Premier Pro I got a pretty good workflow in place to create green screen videos.

Are there resources out there that create custom green screen videos for learning or AV production?

Camtasia has an awesome feature where you can block out a specific color from an asset you are bringing into a video. This works great not only for green-screen, but if you're bringing in an image that has a background color that is not the same as your project background color. I've had good success creating video in Camtasia and then bringing it into a Captivate project.

Here's a screenshot.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Chuck, yes it is. I'm getting good results with good hardware (green screen and camera), investing in good equipment is so vital to the end experience.

Assuming you are actually shooting the presenter on a greenscreen and the resulting footage is what you're working with...

I second looking at Adobe Presenter, but also at the risk of going off-Adobe-brand, Techsmith's Camtasia has a very good green-screen/composting feature built in. We've often used that to enhance our green-screen recordings then bring the resulting video into Captivate for overall interactive development.

Presenter Video Express has a (limited) green screen feature for the recording of the presenter itself.

Thanks Liv, I am going to be layering a presenter narrating a simulation behind him. The presenter feature is very solid.
