Is captivate 9 downward compatible with Captivate 8?

I have an error message when I try to open a Captivate 9 file (trial version) with my Captivate 8. Impossible to open the file .cptx.

    That is indeed not possible, has never been possible between an existing version and a previous version.

    Too bad... but thank you for having answered me so quickly.

    That means I cannot install a trial version on a client's computer to create a project then use this project on my own computer with the version of captivate for which I have a license. I suppose it is no longer possible to install a trial version of Captivate 8 since the new version is available ?
