Question

Is it possible to allow users to self-rank items based on importance to them?

Hi,

I am working in Captivate 2017 and I would like to create a drag-and-drop interaction for users to rank items based on level of importance to them. There is no right/wrong answer. I simply want them to be able to move items to be ordered the way they would like. Can this be achieved? If so, how?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Holly

If you don't indicate correct answers, but allow any drag source to be dropped on any target, this is possible. Be careful: if the D&D slide is not scored, it wil  be reset when leaving the slide.  What is the purpose of this exercise?

Thank you very much for the quick reply, Lilybri! Another Instructional Designer on my team proposed in a storyboard to our client that they could enter in numbers to rank 10 different potentially motivating factors to perform well on the job (from most important to least important) and left a note to see about having the list automatically reorder based on rankings. I thought drag-and-drop would be a better solution but the more I think about it, I think it would be better just to have the potential motivating factors come in one at a time for them to reflect upon.

Thanks,

Holly

Did you try a quiz slide type Sequence? It has the possibility to drag as well.
