Question

Is it possible to customize the multi-SCO player?

Publishing using the Adobe Multi-SCO Packager works fine.  After import into my LMS (SumTotal Maestro) the course opens in a player with the SCOs listed on the left and navigation elements on the top.  I would like to customize this player interface in terms of layout, fonts, colors etc.  My LMS provider is telling me the "player" is generated by the authoring tool but I also heard it's generated in the LMS.  Is it possible to access this player and customize it?

I'm using Captivate 7.  Output is to either SWF or HTML 5.

thanks.

The only aspects of the SumTotal SCORM player that are affected by Captivate is the list of course modules as shown in the left hand TOC panel.  Everything else about the player can only be controlled either from within the SumTotal Administrative settings, or else by some proprietary XML code that SumTotal made available some years ago.  However, I had heard that this extra custom XML code that could be included in the imsmanifest.xml file no longer worked on the latest SumTotal versions.

You can usually Google for information about customizing the SumTotal player and find references to this code.  I've never personally used it, even though I have worked for clients that use SumTotal.
