I have issues understanding your question. Do you mean you want to create a hyperlink with that text, or do you want to put an interactive object (like a click box) over it and show a video clip that is hidden?

I would like the text to be hot, like hyperlinked text, but the effect of the hotness would be to launch the video in the frame. I tried putting a click box over the text, but the available actions for click boxes do not include starting the slide's video. So it doesn't seem to be possible to start a video other than by making it an event video, which provides play controls.

Hide the video, and Show it using that button or click box.
