Question

Is there a French version of the Glossary widget?

I'm using Captivate 8 and I believe I have the latest version of the Glossary widget. The issue is that the widget contains a Search feature, and it doesn't seem possible to turn this feature off or rename it.

I tried placing a French label over the word "Search", but the widget always rises to the top when you publish, so the user still sees "Search".

If there isn't a French version of the Glossary, are there any other workarounds that might be helpful?

Thanks!

David

Hi David.

Are you using a French version of Captivate of English?

Thanks,

Mohana

I'm using the English version of Captivate....

Assuming there's a French version of Captivate, does it come with a French version of the Glossary?

Thanks,

David

Yes, there is a French version (in France no application is allowed if it is not in the national 'holy' language). I mentioned it before, and am very curious if the learning interactions do exist in a French version, it has been a while since I asked about that. Mohana?

As far as I know the learning interactions (widgets) are only available in an English version. Later developed interactions (Glossary is one of the oldest) allow a lot more customization which means localisation is easier (look at some of the games). Maybe you should log a feature request? I never used another version than the English version, which means I'm not aware of what is packed with the French version of Captivate.

Thank you for your comments, Lilybiri. Perhaps someone from Adobe could chime in also?

Crossing my fingers, because this is mostly a user to user forum.
