Is there a good solution to remotely click from slide to slide?

As you said "remotely", I'm guessing you are wanting to operate using a remote control clicking mechanism?

Assuming that's correct, you will want two click boxes on each slide. It won't matter what size they are as they will be operated using the remote control. Configure one to Go to the Previous slide when clicked and configure the other to Go to the Next slide when clicked. Then configure each of these Click Boxes with a Shortcut. Use Page Down as the shortcut for the Previous and Page Up as the shortcut for the Next.
