Question

Is there a "snap-to-playhead" feature?

I'm brand new to Captivate (using 8), and am finding myself constantly needing to adjust the right (end) edge... usually to the playhead. Is there a 'snap to playhead' feature? Is anyone else having this issue?

Do you mean extending the play time of an object so it doesn't disappear before your slide timer ends?  Ctrl+E in the object on the timeline will extend it out.  If this isn't your issue apologies!  But it's still useful!

That is one of my feature requests that I enter all the time. CTRL-L will

snap the start of a timeline to playhead, but there is none to snap end.

Thanks Lilybiri... I didn't think so. I'm having issues with the snap to timeline, for assets that also have 'play to end of slide' selected... when I snap to timeline, it actually makes the whole slide duration longer, rather than shortening the asset display length to fit to the existing end of the slide... it's really a pain.

    While I'm finding bugs...

I use 'Duplicate' a lot, and find that after duplicating an asset, it somehow stays linked to the original asset sometimes, so when I move the duplicated asset, the original one moves with it, even after I make sure everything is deselected first. I end up having to X out every asset except for the one I'm moving. Have you found this bug as well?

Is there actually any "tech support" for this product? I don't understand why Captivate is so buggy, when so much of the actual technical structure is similar to Premiere, which is very robust...

    Thanks for listening.
