Question

Is there a way to easily replace one picture that is used in a lot of advanced actions?

Hello,

I have a training that I want to use as a template with a lot of advanced actions. The same "place holder" pictures are used in many advanced actions, and I am not sure how to replace the picture without going into every advanced action and "correcting" it with the new picture....

Thanks in advance for any help!

Ryan

Hi there

As long as the dimensions of the image don't change, I think you can use the Library to swap the picture. Just find the image in the Library, then choose to edit the image using something like Microsoft Paint or Photoshop or other. Swap the image with the new and save as the same file name. Then make sure you update in the library and the image should update in the project.

Cheers... Rick

Actually, that's a good workaround...I've never thought about that because my process for creating them is different.  Thanks for the idea, will certainly come in handy if I need to do that in the future.

I'm not sure of a way to do that? I usually import/place all my elements on a slide that I want to be involved in advanced actions.  Only after everything is placed will I begin building the actions.  It usually takes quite a bit of planning, but is how I do it.  I don't think if you delete the placeholder you're able to rename it the same as the image you're replacing.  Plus, as soon as you delete an image that's part of the advanced action, the particular action changes to a continue if I'm not mistaken?

As far as mass changing a certain element to replace another across multiple advanced actions, I don't think that's possible.  Most likely will require you going through and making each change as necessary.
