Question

Is there a way to make an OAM play in the background in a Captivate 2019 project

A coworker is building a project with some OAM on various slides.  I haven't worked with OAM really and he wants to know if there is a way to make the OAM play behind the other objects on the slide?

Have a look at this thread, Susan:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/captivate/issue-with-order-for-a-oam-imported-animation/m-p/10936577?page=1

Inn the default setup all animations (Flash or OAM) always play on top of the stack order. By editing UseWidget7 line in captivate.ini that is no longer the case. However if you have interactions in the OAM, they may not be functional anymore.

Hello Gray_Susan

take a look at this page: https://helpx.adobe.com/animate/using/OAM-publishing.html

An OAM file is an animated widget created by Adobe Edge Animate. OAM is a file extension, the application is call Edge Animate. ( the flash replacement ).

Luis, wrong information. First of all Edge Animate is no longer supported by Adobe as is the case for all the Edge appliations. The former Flash Builder application, which is still available, has been renamed and is now Animate CC.

Question was not about what an OAM is, but how to change its position on top of the z-order.

I understand that the question is about the order. That is not the point, They should learn the proper name of the application that they are using whether is Edge Aninmate or Animate CC. Unless the question is about the extension.

The OAM should not be in the question.
