Is there a way to manually add the "Typing Text" effect?

Hi, I've recorded some software simulations in demonstration mode, but the action of "typing text" was not captured. Is it possible to add the "typing text" effect manually?

For HTM/SWF projects you can use the Text Animation object available under Text > Text Animation.  Select either Typing Text or Typing Text with sound. 

But this is object is actually an ActionScript widget and therefore not compatible with HTML5.
