Is there a way to reveal image and text with soft blend by clicking a button?

Hello everyone,

does anyone know if there is a way in Adobe Captivate to reveal an image and text with a soft blend in by clicking on a button?

Both, image and text have two states. Invisible in the normal state and visible on the second state.

By using an advanced script the image blends in softly since I used the alpha to make it in/visible.

Unfortunately, it does not work with the text. Either there is no effect animation and the text just appears or if I combine changing the state to state 2 and add then the effect (even if I do it the other way round) the text appears for split seconds and then the effect plays.

I would very appreciate any input!

Thanks in advance.

You cannot apply an effect to a state, that is one of the limitations of a multistate object.

May I offer an alternative workflow?

    • Insert the image and the text container and group them. Will label the group 'Gr_ImageText'.
    • Use the On Enter action of the slide to hide the group.
    • Create this action for the button:

I use the Delay command to avoid possible flicker. If you want to release the playhead at the same time you need to add the Continue command.
