Question

Is there a way to set up Global Preferences to edit the default Captivate Cached Projects dir to a new dir?

I am installing Captivate 8 and the default Project Cache dir. is C:\Users\User\Documents\Adobe Captivate Cached Projects. I would like to change this to something like C:\Program Files\Adobe Captivate Cached Projects.

Is this possible? Is there a setup.ini file I can edit to accomplish this or is clicking on Edit > Preferences the only way?

Thanks!

I think you might run into issues with that location because it's down inside the Program Files area and typically guarded by security.

For best results it's usually best to have the Project Cache on the C drive somewhere easy to get at and with nothing else inside that folder except Captivate's cached projects because all contents will get deleted from time to time.
