Question

Is there an easy way to organize overlapping state layers of separate objects?

My training has muultiple objects that change the state of an object and rollovers  of objects that add content to those states.

Example:

Click 1 - Change object A to state 1

Click 2 -  Change object A to state 2

Click 3 - Rollover state has multiple objects that are shown on top of object A

Click 4 - Rollover state has multiple objects that are shown on top of object A

My headache is that some objects in object A sttates will end up on top of Rollover states. Adjusting layers is simple on a slide but when in state view, I cant even tell what each objects name is much less what will block it in the final pruduction.

Same here, I don't really understand your setup. It may be a terminology problem.

You have a rollover state, which would mean that you are talking about an interactive object? Then you talk about a State A: is that the Normal state or a custom state? Same for State B?

Please post a screenshot of the Timeline and the Object State panel.

I do appologize for the confusion. I did not save file from the results above so I made another.

SmartShape_1 - Multistate object, all in red

SmartShape_2 - Use as button, no action, has a rollover state with the yellow box

SmarrShape_3 - Use as button, Action set to change stte of SmartShape_1 to next state

Published results, clicked on SmartShape_3 and moused over SmartShape_2. The result is the yellow box being between the 2 red boxes that are on a SmartShape_1 state view.

This was produced by vreating SmartShape_1 and a single red box on newState1. Then create SmartShape_2 and add the yellow box to its rollover state. When going back to add the 2nd red box to SmartShape_1's state, it will be on top of SmartShape_2's rollover.

This makes it difficult when I have 4 objects that have rollover states and they stack on top of a multistate object.

So you are saying that some object A states are on top of the rolloverstates and some are not?

Can you post screen shot of this?

Still confused, I don't see where there is a state of another object in between Object A Sate 1 and abject A State 2 or another state of object A.
