Is there still a bug with keeping glossary interaction for entire project?

Greetings,

I've seen in other posts (Cp6) that there is a known bug with keeping glossary interaction available throughout a project.

Maybe my problem can help further this issue - or maybe someone can post advice on how to fix it.

I am using a trial version of Cp7 and followed the advice in this tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTEF-56V1Z4

I found that if I left "Visible in output" box unchecked for the close button (as in the tutorial), I didn't see the glossary at all.

Likewise for the button I created to see the glossary - I couldn't have it hidden or I just wouldn't see it.

Another problem: The close button on the glossary (which is grouped to the interaction) at first only appeared with the glossary, but then decided to appear on subsequent slides without it (but in the same location).

Has anybody been able to follow the advice on the tutorial link above with success and is there another tutorial I can watch or read about this? I'd really like to offer access to the glossary over several slides and during quizzes. (And yes, I do intend to buy the licence - though the number of bugs I'm encountering is creeping up!)

Thanks,

Jacqui.

Hi

Unchecking "visible in output" means the Glossary group will be invisible in the output until it is made visible by some action. In this case, the action that make it visible is assigned to the Glossary button.

Make sure that:

  • Glossary button, Exit button, and the Widget are set to "Rest of the Project" in Timing accordion.
  • Exit button is set to Place Object on Top in the Timing accordion.

Thanks Sreekanth,

It's now working. Of note: it works in preview but for those new to Cp7 like myself, I can see the glossary on subsequent slides (even though it is hidden in output).

The thing I'd overlooked was making sure the widget was set to "rest of the project" in Timing - not just the 'close' and 'glossary' buttons.

I also cleared both Preferences and cache, as per advice I'd received elsewhere on a different problem, but apparently it's a good thing to try when having problems. http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1301062

Now if only I could get the 'insert audio' to work on glossary. http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1303499

Thanks again.

Jacqui.
