Hello Community,

I have a issue on my project: (CAPTIVATE 9)

1-) I created a new project from MS PowerPoint File>New Project> Project From MS PowerPoint

2-) I import a PPT with options: Linked, and Advance slides on click mouse

3-) When I preview the result using the menu Preview>Project, animations and content is aligned with the source PPT.

4-) The issue I have is when I preview in broswer using the menu Preview>HTML5 in browser, animations and content is NOT aligned with the source PPT. (no animations, missing some content text boxes etc...)

it is the same if I publish the project and open the index_scorm.html file in Internet Explorer

Can you please help me.

I can not go further since I have no solution to this problem.

Thank you

KAridja

    Correct answer RodWard

Animations on slides in a PPT project are converted into SWF animations when imported into Captivate.  However, SWF animations are not compatible with HTML5.

Starting a project from PPT imposes many limitations on what you can achieve with Captivate.

I realise you may not want to hear this, but for optimum results (especially when HTML5 is your intended output) you should be building your projects and animations from the ground up in Captivate, not with PPT.

    Hello Rodward,

    Thank you for your answer.

I will follow your advice for my next projects.

For this one I need to find a solution which preserve me to start from scratch in CAPTIAVTE. I will change the publish settings trying both HTML5 and SWF.

    Regards
