issue with playback of screen recording in Captivate 8 (responsive design mode)

I'm using Captivate 8 in responsive design mode.  I've made some screen recordings (in demo, training, and assessment modes) and find that whenever there is a short video clip (such as dragging a window or slider bar across the screen) it plays fine in design mode, but then when I publish the entire project for preview, the clips are blanked out.  It appears these clips are embedded into my slide backgrounds and are in SWF format.

I'm wondering if the reason they are not playing properly is because I'm publishing to HTML5.  If so, how can I convert these little clips from SWF to something else?  And if not, what else could be wrong?

My workaround is to replace those FMR slides (have a camera in the Filmstrip) which cause sometimes issues when publishing to HTML5, by cpvc slides if I cannot avoid them. Very often you can avoid dragging the mouse: example is to click the scrollbar somewhere instead of dragging the slider in the scrollbar, to use shortcut keys etc. When you cannot escape a 'video slide' stop the recording, use the Big Button Slides, Video Demo or Insert, CPVC slide and you'll get into Video Demo mode, where you can record the video (its editor is much more powerful than the limited FMR-editing functionality). When you are done with the cpvc-slide you can continue the software capture with Slides, Software Simulation (it is lacking in the Insert menu for some unknown reason). It is more work, I know, but will play in HTML5 (those slides are converted to MP4), its quality is much better than FMR and you have the video editor if necessary.

Thank you!  Can you point me towards information about how to use the video editor for CPVC movies?  And also, is there a way to convert the videos I've already made into CPVC format?  I'm working on a fairly large project for which I've already made numerous such recordings.

Conversion is not possible, sorry. I never blogged about CPVC, there must be some documentation in the Help.
