Issue with software simulations and object display delay effects

Hi all,

This is my first time using this forum (hello!) as I have encountered an issue that I have not been able to solve as of yet by "tinkering around." I have a software simulation project (created in Captivate 9) where I had tried to add highlight boxes to each slide over certain click boxes. I had set these boxes only to appear after 15 seconds- allowing users time to find the correct locations themselves first. However, when I preview or publish the slide, the audio for each slide plays first and then the slide stops playing- even though I extended the play duration of each slide to account for the highlight box appearances. In order for the highlight box to appear, I have to essentially "replay" the slide. In this case, the highlight box does appear after 15 seconds however the slides are replayed without any audio. I am wondering as to how I can rectify this issue- any ideas?

Bests and thanks,

Alex

Sorry for the late answer, but I'm in a conference about eLearning.

Can you post a screenshot of the timeline, please. My suspicion is that the click box, which is pausing the slide at the end of its timeline, doesn't have the wanted duration. Slide audio will continue to play even if the playhead is stopped by such a pause, if the option 'Stop Slide Audio ' is not checked in the Options tab of the click box.

Thank you for getting back to me. I will first check it out myself to see if I can fix it. If not, I will post a pic of my timeline. Either way thanks- I will get back to you soon!
