Issues capturing in Captivate 2017

I'm having three issues - First issue- I'm trying to capture an application but not every click I make is recorded as a click.

Second issue - When recording, resolution is way off, the mouse pointer does not point to the object clicked on.  Plus the red recording box is captured and shows in the play back.

Can you check the display percentage? It should be set at 100% for recording, and mostly it will be set at a higher percentage.

With reference to your first issue about not capturing all clicks:  It's quite common for this to happen with certain applications or web content in a browser.  Captivate doesn't always 'hear' the screen events in these apps and therefore doesn't trigger a capture.

The solution is to always have your spare finger sitting over the top of the Manual Capture key that you can specify in the Captivate Preferences.  (I like to use F2 with my left hand because I'm using the mouse with my right hand.)

I seemed to remember in very very early versions of Captivate using F2 on a regular basis.  Thanks for the reminder!
